I wear Tony Lama’s when dancing at the saloon with the ladies. At your job site (I last worked as a french teacher) it’s probably not advised. Talk2 your union representative.

Who cares where you work? You want to wear boots, go right ahead. Very smart to get non-skid soles put on though. That’s a good thing. I know surgeons, cops, security guards, pilots, and tow-truck drivers who wear boots. As long as they’re comfortable and you can stand in them all day, wear what makes you happy. Good boots provide excellent arch support and look great too.
In the future, you might want to get boots that come with non-skid soles. Many Ariat’s do, and people love them. I mean really really love them.
